You Decide
You Decide
The University of Nottingham Students’ Union is run by you, our members, and every member has a right to have a say in how we are run and there are many ways for you to get involved.
From our 9 Executive Officers to our 48 School Education Reps there are lots of opportunities to get involved with how your Union is run. However, if running for one of these positions is not your cup of tea our democratic elections make sure that you can choose who acts and speaks on your behalf.
Union Council
Students' Union Council is the highest representative decision making and policy setting body of the Students’ Union.
It’s made up of representatives from all sorts of student groups including undergraduates, postgraduates, JCRs, associations and student-run services.
Council decides on Union policy, mandates people to put policies into action and ensures the elected officers are representing students effectively.
Everyone’s welcome at Union Council meetings and anyone can propose policy or hold an elected officer to account.
