Harassment
Students who feel that they are the subject of harassment or bullying should look at the University’s Dignity within the University Policy. The policy outlines procedures to be followed if anyone at the University feels they are being harassed or bullied.
The University sees the promotion of a considerate environment as part of its commitment to equality of opportunity, and will not tolerate the harassment or bullying of one member of its community by another.
Within the University, there is a network of trained Dignity Advisers who can help you think about and reflect on the situation and explore the options available, so that you can decide on a course of action. They can also provide support for you during that process and act as a ‘sounding board’.
Students who feel they are being harassed by a member of University staff, or students facing allegations of harassment, can also contact an Education Adviser in the Students’ Union Student Advice Centre, tel: 0115 846 8730 or email: sueducationadviser@nottingham.ac.uk.
