International Students

In coming to the UK as an international student you should have had to show, or should have at least considered, that you had enough money for your tuition fees and living costs for your period of study.

Sometimes, however, international students run into unexpected financial difficulties after they have arrived in the UK. If you find yourself in this position, please seek advice.

International Office

If you are an international student and  are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact the Student Support Team in the International Office to discuss your situation with one of their advisers. It is important that you seek advice as soon as you realise that there is a problem with your finances.

UKCISA

The UKCISA information sheet on Financial Hardship outlines possible options for dealing with financial difficulties you may be having.

For more information and advice about financial issues, please contact the Welfare Advice Team in the Student Advice and Representation Centre.
