- Please try logging in with your University username and password.
If you have changed your password recently, please try a previous password.
Once you have logged on, you can change your password at any time by selecting 'Account'.
- If you have forgotten your password, click on the 'Forgotten password' link.
The system will send you an email inviting you to reset your password.
Click on the link in the email and follow the prompts to enter your new password.
- If you don't know your Student ID Number and haven't received your University Card, follow the instructions below for obtaining it from the 'My Details' channel on the Portal.
- If you still are unable to log in, please email suwebsite@nottingham.ac.uk
stating your Student ID Number or UCAS Number, date of birth, name and University email address.
- TIP2 : I want to join clubs and societies online and buy tickets for club nights.
How do I create an account on the Students' Union website? -
Click on the 'Create New Account' link on the SU homepage and choose one of two options :
I am a University of Nottingham Student
All students, except student nurses, should choose this option.
I am a University of Nottingham Student Nurse or Midwife
Choose this option if you are student nurse based at one of the healthcare centres .
Enter the following information to create your SU web account :
- Student ID Number as it appears on your University Card. *
(7 digits for most students; 9 digits for Healthcare students)
- Date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy)
- Choose a password. We strongly suggest that you use the same password
as your University account to avoid any confusion.
Cannot find your Student ID Number?
* If you have yet to receive your University Card, and do not know your Student ID Number, please follow these simple steps to retreive it from the 'My Details' channel on the Portal:
1. Login to http://my.nottingham.ac.uk/ with your applicant credentials
(Your UCAS personal ID & date of birth as password)
2. Click on Next Steps tab
3. On the My Details channel, click on the button
(it will say different things dependant on the status of registration)
4. You'll then be directed to https://mydetails.nottingham.ac.uk/ which shows your Student ID Number in the top right hand corner

Your Student ID Number is printed on your University Card :
If you can see your Student ID Number on your University Card, proceed to step 5.
If you have yet to receive your University Card, and do not know your Student ID Number, please follow steps 1 - 5 below :
1. Log onto the Portal at http://my.nottingham.ac.uk/ with your applicant credentials

Yes, student nurses are now able to join clubs and societies and buy tickets online.

What time is the Union reception open?
Term-time: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Vacation: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
