Introduction
The Softball club places equal weight on playing competitive softball and forming a firm group of friends that will stay with you. We take people from complete beginner and train them to play softball at a very high level, as well as welcoming experienced players. We cater for all abilites, and as a club compete at a very high level. Our team competes in the local East Midlands league (playing both indoor in the winter and outdoor after Easter) as well as competing at tournaments throughout the summer, located all around the country.
There is also an extremely active social element to the club, with regular socials and a wide variety of events organised by the club. So, whether you're new to the sport or a seasoned veteran, please come along to any session (the club provides all the equipment and kit that you need to play) and make some of the best friends you'll meet at university. Training
We train every Friday from 6pm-8pm and Sundays from 12pm-2pm. Friday training is held in the Small Hall of the Sports Centre on University Park, and Sunday sessions from 12pm-2pm are on the 3G astroturf (also on Uni Park). We welcome new members throughout the year so please come along to any training session and give it a go.
