The University of Nottingham Netball Club
The University of Nottingham Netball Club is one of the biggest clubs in the AU with around 60 girls playing weekly within 5 BUCS teams. The ability of the members ranges from International and Super League standard to those wishing to improve their skills in order to compete in BUCS - the British Universities and College Sports League. As well as playing in BUCS matches, the club is entered into the Nottingham Ladies Saturday League which allows members of all abilities to play together in an extra game each week, with a slightly lighter atmosphere.
Alongside the physical side of playing netball, the club offers a whole range of socials - from wild nights out, to girls nights in. We hold socials every other week, which helps to bring the club closer together as a whole, but often sees us joining up with other AU clubs helping to unite the Athletics Union. As well as the biweekly socials we have fundraising events throughout the year, and a tour which in the past has taken us to Spain, Dublin and South Africa.
In joining our netball club you not only get the chance to play a great game at an extremely high level, but the opportunity to create great friendships, and hopefully take away an experience that you will value long after you have graduated from Nottingham University.
If you will be a fresher in 2011/2012 consider joining our freshers group for more information http://www.facebook.com/groups/140647339345157?ap=1 .
