Gaelic Football is a fast, rough and exciting sport, described as a mixture between association football and rugby. The team competes in the British Nationals as well as regular challenge matches with other universities and indulges in numerous socials.
We train once a week at the 3G pitch located by the University Park Campus sports centre with matches and occasional extra sessions being held at the Gaelic Football pitch at Grove Farm. We are also able to boast that we are one of few universities to have our own dedicated Gaelic Football pitch, i.e. one that is not a modified rugby pitch.
The membership of the team varies from those who have been playing since they could solo a ball to those who started only upon their arrival at university.
