The Explorers Club (established in 1972) offer weekend trips to the mountainous areas of Britain. We offer awesome walks and scrambles for people who want to push themselves and experience something more than your average hill walk and enjoy some great banter too. We usually go on 3-4 weekend trips per term with a week long trip after summer exams. The club welcomes people of all experience from seasoned mountain climbers to enthusiastic beginners.offers a large range of outdoor activities.
Weekend and week-long trips are arranged to Snowdonia and the English Lake District. We organise a social every week and some club members also regularly visit the Nottingham climbing wall.
New members are warmly welcomed, whether you have no experience at all or already are an Alpine mountaineer! The membership fee is £8 a year. You can join online, at Freshers Fayre or at student activities in the Portland Building.
