Did you know that it was actually Women who invented cricket?
At the University of Nottingham, we welcome both experienced players as well as complete beginners, providing them with the opportunity to play both indoors and outdoors. Our weekly training sessions are conducted by our fully qualified coach, Mark Dobb. The team enters the BUCS championships to face opposing university ladies teams in the region. This includes an indoor competition in October and then outdoors matches during the Summer Term. We also hope to arrange friendly matches this coming year to challenge the up and coming teams in Nottinghamshire.
If you would like to become a member of our friendly and sociable union, then come along to our stall on Freshers Fair in September 2011, or just come along to a training session. We look forward to meeting you in the coming season. All the necessary equipment will be provided by the club, so don't worry if you don't own any kit!
We also try to organize at least a couple of socials every term to give everyone a chance to have fun and spend some together outside of training.
Training: Every Thursday 8-9:15pm in the Small Sports Hall (University Park). You will need either a Bronze, Silver or Gold sports centre membership to use the Small Sports Hall facilities.
