We're a white water canoe club who run trips to various parts of the country and the local white water centre. People of all abilities, from experienced paddlers to first time kayakers can participate and experience this fantastic sport in a safe environment. We run pool sessions twice a week in the University pool where you can come along and learn anything you like before you put your skill to use on a river in Wales, Yorkshire, The Lakes, or even somewhere sunny out in Europe.
The club has an amazing social side to it with regular gatherings in all our favourite haunts. We meet in the pub every thursday evening to get to know everyone and make them welcome in the club, and big social gatherings are always looming on the calender.
To get on trips you need to be a member of the club and then get down to the pool 2 weeks before the proposed trip to sign up, all trip dates are listed in the news. These weekends away always prove to be entertaining with amazing scenery, fun rivers, brilliant cooking and great evening fun and games. Trips are £45 and all you need to bring is you, some suitably warm clothing and a drink of your choice, as we will provide the food accommodation and transport.
If you want to pop along to a pool session to see who we are and what we do then these happen every Wednesday 9.30 - 10.30pm, and Friday 8.30-9.30 at the University Swimming Pool.
