Although relatively young, the Baseball Society is ever growing and continually improving. We have recently won the national universities championship and compete against high level sides from across the country week in week out. Baseball utilises many skills that may have been developed in other sports and as such we welcome players from all backgrounds and all skill levels.

So what do we do??

Training happens every week on the University astro turf pitches. Socials happen roughly every 3 times a term but we do go to the SU after most practices for key team bonding! Socials include superbowl party, club nights, house parties and of course campus 14!!

We play three tournaments a year spread throughout the country and we have a brand new league set up this year where we'll play other teams from the midlands and the surrounding areas on Sunday's.

However the best bit of being in the baseball society is playing baseball. A diverse game with any sport helping you to be good at baseball! For example last year only six players in the whole squad had ever played baseball before coming to University. Both the President and the Vice-President used to represent Great Britain Baseball team and so they know many useful drills and have plenty of baseball contacts throughout the country if you wish to improve and carry on playing outside of Uni.
