2011 - 2012 Committee
President

I am currently a second year student studying history and ancient history. I also run a local brownie unit every week along with undertaking my queens guide award at the moment. I have been brought up with guiding all my life and therefore my highlights have been taking part in Tall Ship Sailing with other guides in 2010, attending the centenary camp for guiding and taking part in Gangshow, which I did for over 8 years. I love being occupied and therefore I do a lot of things outside uni, such as volunteering, D of E and of course scouty and guidy things :D
Vice President

I'm Nat and I'm the Vice-President this year. I am in my second year, studying BSc Archaeology. Within Scouting, I am a cub leader both up in Nottingham and at home, and I have nearly completed my Wood Badge. I attended the 2007 World Scout Jamboree in Essex, and also help out on various Scouting events around the country. Outside of Scouts, I also play the oboe in the University Double Reeds ensemble.
Treasurer

I'm Penny and I am a second year medic. I am currently the treasurer in the Scout and Guide committee. Before I came to Nottingham I was chair of my local explorer group back in Cheshire and was glad to find there was a society for it when I came to Nottingham. I enjoy sailing, climbing and cycling on top of the usual student activities (including the odd trip to the pub and Friday night Ocean!).

SSAGO Rep
Trent Rep

My name is James and I am the Trent Representative, basically this means as well as doing all the usual Exec stuff I look after all the Trent Students. I am 25 (yes this does make me officially ancient!) and currently studying a PGCE in Physics at Trent. This is my 2nd year of SNoGS having done a one year conversion course last year in Physics as my degree was in Ancient & Medieval History.
I have been an active member of the Scout association since I was a tiny Beaver back in 1992 and have since then been involved in Cubs, Scouts, Ventures and Network as well as being being a Scout and more recently a Cub leader. When I went to University I joined the SSAGO Club in Cardiff (called SSAGS) in my first year and got involved with them and ended up being on the Exec twice as well as participating in lots of National events which are awesome.
What I bring to the society is a wealth of experience so I can help the Exec plan a fantastic program as well as a sense of fun and enthusiasm to everything we do and a severely warped sense of humour, though not sure that is necessarily a good thing.
Community Relations

I'm Hayley and I'm the Community Relations Officer. This means that if you want to volunteer with a local Scouting or Guiding group then I will put you in touch. I am a Physics PhD student at Nottingham and I enjoy doing Guiding activities. In 2010, I went to Sangam (India) where I volunteered with one of their community partners. Currently, I am doing my Queen's Guide Award which is giving me different opportunities such as going to Innovate and doing my Pack Holiday license. Within SNoGS, I have been on rally and I intend to attend many more as they are a good laugh, hope to see you there.
