We are the University of Nottingham’s Computer Science Society. Our society consists mainly of Computer Scientists but we welcome anyone with an interest in our subject to join. The Society’s purpose is to provide a social group for Computer Science students, to promote interest in current and past technology and to aid student interaction between different years of study and areas of interest.
We regularly meet for socials and run several trips throughout the year such as visits to technology shows and exhibitions and visits to places of interest. The Society is four years old and is the only society of its kind at the University. CompSoc exists because we believe that Computer Science both needs and deserves a community of which its' members can socialise, learn new things and also feel like they've got a group within the School to fall back on if things get rough!
