Belly Dance Society

 

Belly Dancing is open to anyone, of any shape or size.  It was dubbed the 'trendiest new workout of 2008', and many celebrities have got involved - appreciating it's benefits.

It's all about having fun whilst exercising, and as well as being fun and sexy, you will notice a real difference in your muscle toning after a few sessions. It provides a good cardio-vascular workout and helps increase flexibility and strength. As a form of exercise, it can burn as many as 400 calories, but it can be as physical as the individual chooses! 
 
There are no special requirements for becoming a member, you don’t have to wear anything special (except a hip scarf if you want, so you can shake it..) You don’t have to expose your belly and you don’t have to have previous experience. Belly Dance Soc is here not just to introduce students to one of the most exotic forms of dancing, but also to help them appreciate belly dancing as an art form that expresses the beauty of the body, no matter what it's shape!
