What we do

Regular Gatherings

The structure of our weekly gatherings varies greatly and encompasses all skill-levels and types of magic. Meetings involve teaching, learning, socialising and performing.

Library

Our ever-growing library is a great resource for all magicians wishing to learn. We have a good selection of books and DVDs available to members to borrow.

Performances

The Magic Society is in high demand for performers at events such as Hall Parties, Graduation Ball and society events. Members have the opportunity to attend these events and hone their skills.

The Blackpool Magicians' Convention

The event highlight of the year has to be the Blackpool Magic Convention. We organise a group to attend this event where over 3000 magicians meet for a weekend of magic.

The Magic Society Gala Show

Every year, the society hosts a Gala Show, featuring astonishing acts from talented magicians near and far. This is not to be missed.

Where and when?

We meet weekly on Thursdays at 7pm - 9pm (first session October 6th 2011) in E126, Portland Building, Main Campus. Members have free access to this to borrow books and resources at every weekly meeting.
