The Hindu Society was formed in 2002 to provide a network for students to interact and learn from one another whilst creating opportunities for students to have fun. Hindu Society is a society open to every member of Nottingham University regardless of their religious beliefs or background. It provides Hindu students with support and spiritual education, creating a 'home' away from home through weekly aarti's, exciting talks, regular sports and sewa events. Some of the events to look forward to in the coming year are: Central Zone Garba, Rangoli- Diwali Ball, Kangna- a cultural show joint with ASoc, Holi and many other social events. The Hindu Society is part of the National Hindu Students Forum (NHSF), which exists to protect, preserve, practice and promote Hindu Dharma amongst the UK Hindu student population.
