Go

***THERE WILL BE NO GO ON MONDAY 20TH FEB***

GO SOC - MONDAYS 7.30pm - 9.30pm

We'll be meeting in E125 PORTLAND each week this term.

So what is Go? It is an ancient sophisticated oriental boardgame that deals in strategy. 'It takes moments to learn but a lifetime to master', so if you fancy a new intellectual challenge then why not come along and have a look because 'Chess is too simple'.

If you're new, that is fanastic and we'll help you get started; if you have played before we will find try to find you an even opponent.

After a successful tournament last year, we are again hosting our very own tournament on campus Saturday 26th February 2011.

If you would like to attend our tournament, but have not been able to attend GO SOC, then please let me know. If you are at all familiar to the game then this will not be a problem at all. If you are unfamiliar to the game then we may still be able to accommodate. We are soon hosting additional sessions (other than tuesdays) for newcomers keen to learn about the game in time for the tournament, and you would be most welcome to join these sessions.

With our society there will also be opportunities to attend the town club that meets in Beeston, and Lenton, where there are more players to challenge.

Come along, give it a go! =)
