This years socials include (but are not limited to) bar crawls, all-you-can-drink cocktail nights, booze cruises, formals, and the yearly Science Ball! We also organise socials with other Societies, and other universities!
For those of you who enjoy playing sports, but do not have the time to commit to Uni teams- ChemSoc have teams in Netball, Football and Mixed Hockey, and play weekly in the Uni's Intra-Mural Sports League, winning the Football league last year!
Why should you become a member? Membership is only £4 for a year, or £10 for the length of your course, and it entitles you to cheaper tickets, drinks and socials, priority over non-members for sell out events and free entrance to guest lectures. ChemSoc is a great way to meet new people from various years, and to make those all-important connections for after uni!Want to become involved with ChemSoc? ChemSoc will be looking for First Year Reps towards the start of term, and the annual committee AGM is held in May.

The ChemSoc Commitee
ChemSoc is a society dedicated to providing chemists with a chance to socialise outside of labs! As well as providing academic help- in the form of 'Parents'- a member of a higher year who can help you with coursework, lab reports and answer general queries, free invitations to a number of fascinating guest lectures, increased awareness of summer internship opportunities- which are not just based in the science sector, we also organise a packed schedule of socials!
