The central truth which all the principles and teachings of the Bahá’í Faith revolve around is the oneness of mankind; that is, that mankind consists of a single people. Only when this truth is established will mankind be able to overcome the increasingly chaotic problems it faces today. Stemming from this root are principles such as that the essence of all the world's religions is one and the same, men and women are equal, extremes of wealth and poverty must be abolished, every individual has the responsibility to seek for truth themselves and so on.
The society is the local link to the worldwide Baha'í community which is striving to bring these Teachings of Bahá'u'lláh, the founder of the Bahá'í Faith, into practice to make them a reality. Aswell hosting evenings focussed on prayer, meditation, music, discussion and the investigation of how Bahá'u'lláh claims humanity can achive this goal of building a united world, the society will work with other religious and humanitarian groups towards the common goal of creating consciousness of the need for action and establishing unity and fellowship on campus.
