Welcome to the University of Nottingham Archaeology Society!
Your Course
Every course within the University has its own society, and as your representatives within the Student's Union, the Archaeology society aims to make your experience with the course the best it can be.
Nottingham's Archaeology department has recently moved into a new, modern building on campus, providing students with a far more up-to-date learning experience, this combined with the lecturing staff means that you can feel safe knowing your degree aspirations will be catered for. Much of this year's committee are in the later stages of their degrees and have experienced a lot of what is to offer in the subject and in the University.
Your Society
ArchSoc also aim to make the social side of your course a great experience too. The society has both a football and netball team competing in leagues, and welcomes anyone willing to suggest ideas for new sports or competitions to try out.
A large number of socials are being planned throughout the year from nights out in Nottingham City Centre to trips to archaeological museums and exhibitions around the country. There will always be those who want to dive headlong into the nightlife of Nottingham and those take an interest in the cultural side of the degree, and we all aim to accomodate every type of prospective student we may receive.
ArchSoc is not exclusive to Archaeology Students. If you have an interest in the subject you're entirely welcome to join the society in the same way a prospective student might
