Melton Hall

Welcome to Melton!

Melton Hall is the only hall at University of Nottingham dedicated to postgraduate accommodation. Situated at the north end of Jubilee Campus, it provides excellent accommodation to postgraduate students of all stripes, including a large international contingent. All rooms are en-suite, and self-catered, with shared kitchen facilities, fostering a great sense of community.

Melton MCR Committee

The Current MCR Committee is in post until mid September. A new committee will be elected in October to support current Melton Residents.

President: Yammy - Patchaya Teerawatsakul

The President is here to lead the MCR committee, liaise with the Hall Warden and Management, the Students’ Union and other stakeholders and represents your hall at the monthly Students’ Union Council.

Vice-President: Anne Marie Bonnici Mallia 

Responsible for the MCR’s website, publicity and communications and undertakes all Presidential duties in the absence of the President.

Treasurer: Christina House

Prepares and manages the MCR budget, income and expenditure throughout the year and keeps the committee, residents, Students’ Union and University updated about the accounts.

Social Secretary: Sushmitha Sudhir

Plan and run activities and events in your hall and organises publicity and ticket selling for events.

Environmental Officer: Alexander Phillips

Works with the university to encourage recycling and sustainable development.

Welfare Rep: Ikhlaas Kapadia and Achala Hulikal Venugopalan

Look after the welfare needs of the residents in your hall, represents your Hall’s welfare concerns to Hall Management and the Students’ Union runs welfare campaigns and is a member of the Students’ Union Welfare Rep Network.

News and Events

During the 2011/12 Academic year, Melton MCR ran many successful events including a trip to Alton Towers, BBQ events, and a regular film nights!
