Medsin would like to invite YOU to attend our Annual Midlands Day Conference on Saturday 10th January from 8.30am registration - 5pm. This year, the day will be themed around Emergency Medicine and Surgery, with talks and training workshops to make sure that you, as future medical professionals will be able to THINK FAST in an acute medical situation!
We have some of the top consultants and surgeons in our country prepped and ready to let you into some of the top ways to stay in control for when you next find yourself in a high-stress situation. With expected talks by Miss Ang Swee (Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon), Mr Donald Summat (Plastics & Hand Surgeon) and our local Mr Shalinder Singh (Paediatric Surgeon), this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to gain a massive insight into this fast-paced speciality that pushes some of our country's best doctors to their limit!
But that's not all guys! We have plenty of training workshops set up during the morning and afternoon to give you the chance to get involved and make sure your basic emergency skills are up to scratch! If you're pretty confident already with these skills, not to worry!There will be some more advanced sessions for you with live trauma scenarios and interactive simulations to push your boundaries and keep you on your toes. These will be on a first come, first served basis, with sign up sheets up at 8.30am registration, so make you come early to bag yourself seats! And at the end of the day, don't forget to collect a certificate for your attendance at the conference, a good opportunity to build up your CV.
Tickets for the day will be £3.50 for members and £4.50 for non-members which will include refreshments throughout the day and lunch!
