10 Fun things to do in Nottingham for under £5!
1. The Bodega Social Club on a Wednesday (The Social!) is only £1 with a student card and drinks aren’t too pricey either.
2. Visit Nottingham Castle. Only £2 to get in as a student (with proof of address) or one shiny pound for cave tours.
3. Go and see a New Theatre production… There is something different going on more or less every week.
4. Dogma on a Thursday is free to get in. Drinks can be expensive but the music is great so you don’t have to drink to have a good time!
5. Fill up your Saturday and go on a Rag Raid with Karni!
6. The Happy Return Pub in Lenton serves meals for £1 between 5 and 7 every weekday… bargain! The menu is limited but the food’s still good.
7. Go for a walk in Wollaton Park! It’s two minutes from University Park campus, beautiful and most importantly… FREE!
8. The Crocus Café in Lenton has a delicious vegetarian menu. It is run by student and community volunteers and the food is excellent value for money.
9. Hit the Savoy rather than the bigger cinemas in town. Only £3.50 for students or £1.75 each if you go with a friend on Orange Wednesdays! Or try the Screen Room in Hockley. It’s the world’s smallest cinema and £4.20 a ticket with a student card.
