About STARS (Student Training and Activities Reward Scheme)
STARS is the Student Training and Activities Reward Scheme. It was set up to make sure that student groups were being rewarded for the hard work they put in to running their groups, and had standards to work towards.
By giving you the STARS awards, the Students' Union is recognising that you provide a quality service to your members and to all students at the University, and will promote that fact.

STARS Training Sessions
Apart from Handover, all the training sessions are open to, and appropriate for Clubs, Societies, Associations and Student Run Services.
The sessions have been designed to not only give you the skills needed to run your group effectively, but also to equip you with skills that will help you develop personally and enhance your employability.
As well as the sessions on the timetable, you can request extra tailor-made training sessions if you feel your group has a training need that is not currently being met, for example team-building for your committee, or Dealing with Conflict.
Just let us know what you want training on, and we will arrange it!
