Cards & Discounts

All full time students are entitled to a University Card which demonstrates that you’re part of: the University, the Students’ Union and the NUS. It can also be used to obtain some local student discounts.  These cards are produced by the University.  

However, If you wish to obtain discounts from most of the high street shops and on-line retailers offering a student reduction, you will also need to buy an NUS Extra Card.  These cards are produced by the NUS.

While many part time students can apply for a University Card, depending on the number of credits you undertake, this may not always be the case. However if you find yourself in this situation, you can always apply for a Students’ Union Democracy Card (to prove your student status). These cards are produced by the Students’ Union.
