Campaign with us
The University of Nottingham has a student population of around 33,000. These students are mainly based at the University Park and Jubilee campuses in Nottingham, and Sutton Bonnington Campus in Leicestershire, but there are also many healthcare students across the East Midlands.
As their Students’ Union we are located in the centre of the thriving University Park campus and also have other offices at our satellite campuses. We have a vast array of resources to get campaign messages out to our diverse student membership through a wide range of media.
This website is viewed by thousands of students weekly, the student media; Impact magazine, URN Radio, and NUTS TV network, and to numerous poster sites and digital screens throughout all of the University campuses.
We can engage with our students face-to-face through stalls and experiential events, peer-to-peer through a vast number of social networks, that include course reps and our JCR network (in halls) and via online social networks – for example we have the facilities to reach thousands of students and alumni through our Facebook page.
We are in a unique position to communicate with students on a peer level and we also have a wide range of external contacts, i.e. through the city council, local business partnerships and community groups.
With this wide variety of resources available to us, it’s no surprise that we receive a large number of requests to collaborate with other organisations on Campaigns; however, it is important to us that we provide the best possible representation to our students.
As many of these media resources are available to companies wishing to advertise to students we need to ensure that when we are working with external agencies and using our resources to campaign for positive change for our students that we are meeting the following criteria:
- A campaign must aim to create positive change for our students
- All campaigns that we run must have achievable measurable objectives
- All campaigns that we run must be evaluated to ensure that the objectives have been obtained, or to justify why they haven’t, and that students have benefited from the campaign or will benefit from a future campaign
For this reason we ask that all organisations and individuals that wish to work in partnership to campaign with us to read our Campaigns Collaboration Pack (Word Version Available Here)
